Welfare Home For Children is a registered voluntary organisation duly Licensed and Recognised by Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi and Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment respectively for initiates in the area of child welfare.

Founded in 1979, Welfare Home is managed by professionals and eminent social workers with a commitment to preserve, need promote and strengthen welfare programmers for children in need
if care and protection, to promote dissemination of knowledge and information and to generate public opinion for child welfare activities on scientific basis.

The organisation strives to reach out the deprived children with socio-economic and medical problems through non-institutional and community based programmes such as sponsorship, poster care, counselling and adoption. The organisation believes that socio-economic pressures in urban areas often result in family stress, disintegration and child destitution.

A shift from the "Welfare" to "Development" and from the "Needs" to the "Rights" is a significant change that the Organisation is striving to achieve. This broadening of concern is reflected in intervention strategies that are non-institutional, community based, family oriented, preventive and development in nature.
